Beaulieu Primary

A nurturing setting and a real sense of belonging

Encouraging curiosity, building confidence

Beaulieu Primary continues the Beaulieu journey from Pre-School and provides a unique and nurturing setting for our students and a real sense of belonging.

Throughout the Primary School, we encourage the children in our care to have a positive approach to learning and to believe that gaining knowledge is fun and enjoyable. Children learn best when they are happy and feel confident. We praise, we encourage and we support our students. We have high expectations and a belief in a ‘can do’ approach to learning.

A rich and diverse curriculum

We have a cross-curricular themed approach to teaching and learning. This ensures that learning is fun and allows students, teachers and parents to work together. The curriculum at Beaulieu Primary is rich and diverse in its content and delivery. We want children to become ‘readers for life’, to read for both pleasure and information and our English curriculum brings reading to life for our pupils.

Students are encouraged to express opinions and ideas and listen to others. In Maths, our students become fluent in the fundamentals, undertaking varied and frequent practice in order to increase confidence and understanding. Science, technology and the digital world is a big part of our Primary curriculum. We stimulate curiosity and develop both an understanding of the world around us and life skills such as observation, co-operation, perseverance and investigation. We offer an Art and Performing Arts curriculum that enables students to develop their visual and tactile awareness, think critically and make informed choices about their work. As our pupils move on to our Secondary School, they do so with an excellent academic foundation, with deep and lasting friendships, secure in their own ability, proud of their achievements and confident to meet any challenge.
